Amazon.com Review The Secret Language of Relationships adopts the format of its bestselling predecessor, The Secret Language of Birthdays, and the compendious collection of combinations that follows proves the book's assertion that "A relationship is a rather mysterious and amazing third entity, one that can come to lead an existence independent of the will or desire of its two partners.... in certain cases a relationship can prove far stronger than either individual, leading us to believe that a certain kind of synergy is at work." Well-organized, packed with fascinating "personality" information, and replete with snapshots (on every page) of famous couples--whether colleagues, spouses, or lovers--The Secret Language of Relationships is also simple to use. A glance at the two-page chart at the beginning of the book determines your birthday "period." Next, find the period of the person who interests you--friend, parent, child, lover, or mate. The ensuing relationship dynamics are named colorfully and aptly: "Peas in a Pod," "Uncommon Intimacy," "Flexible Structures," "Few Dull Moments," and "Few Antipathies." Describing 1,176 possibilities, The Secret Language of Relationships sheds light on the classic questions--the hows and whys of chemistry in relationships. Is there a prime ingredient for love at first sight, a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of it all? An entertaining exploration of the very thing we cannot do without--each other--this wonderful volume explains why we feel the way we do about the people in our lives, and how--if necessary--to make it better.
Product Description The Secret Language of Relationships shows how astrology can craft a relationship profile between any two individuals born during any two weeks of the year. The result is an indispensable guide to getting the most out of every relationship.

Bought this for my son and his future bride. They loved it. August 4, 2010 Myia L. Powers (Montana) Bought this for my son and his future bride. They loved it. I don't base my life on astrology, but I find the information very interesting and sometimes even very helpful. MLPowers
Relationships Defined But Contradictory July 13, 2010 R. Chou (Los Angeles, CA USA) If you want to know what the best ideal mate and a match made in heaven would be like, then here is a start. You would assume that given the title of the book.
Its quite a book as it attempts to explain the relationships between all the different astrological combinations available. Tremendously ambitious, it fails at going more in-depth. Each pair is given half a page of analysis and in that half a page; it covers a brief detail of the type of person is based on horoscopes and whether the combination is good for love, friendship and work.
It is a bit contradictory at times because the description of my wife and I are that we clash. It is true somewhat and her being much more analytical, buy into it. However, although we clash, it also says we are good for "marriage". So thats a positive.
There really is no secret in this book. Its just a bold attempt to explain too much with too little detail. Overall, the book is nice large hardcover book that is entertaining to read. But take it with a grain of salt as its not as accurate; because we are all different and cannot be stereotyped into a certain category.
My "personal bible" July 13, 2010 Terri I LOVE this book! Every person I know has one now. It gives in depth thought on ALL relationships. This is a must have in every home :)
Really fun and pretty accurate! The week of magic... July 10, 2010 CosmicMomma I've always had fun playing around with astrology, so when I saw this one on relationships I had to have it! It's a great coffee table book and very pretty. Also, incredibly accurate. It was right on for my relationship with my husband. Everyone who comes over, even those that don't believe in astrology love to take a look. I'm really happy with the book and would like to get the Birthday one in the future.
The relationship bible April 1, 2010 N. Tuncel (ATL, Ga, USA) I was first introduced to this book via a friend many years ago, and even then, I was hooked. I looked up the relationships I had at the time and they were pretty right on. I then saw the book again at a restaurant when my boyfriend and i were on a road trip in seattle. of course, i looked up our birthdays and i took it as an omen. that was 4 years ago, and we are now happily married with a child (not that i based my decisions on this book, but it was a kind of confirmation of the feelings i had at the time!). Currently, the book is on my bookshelf and now i refer to it occasionally. it's great!
